Premier Distilleries Limited one of the pioneers in manufacturing Alcoholic beverages in Uganda was established in 2000, with a focus on quality, reliability and hi-tech packaging. A strong customer focused approach and constant quest for producing top-class quality brands have enabled Premier to be in the market for over two decades. Every aspect of our brands is characterized by professionalism and high standards. Our customer base have increased over the period of years across the borders of Uganda to East Africa.
We are now a fully integrated company which enables us to assess the quality at every level – from growing sugarcane to production of ENA to blending and packaging and delivering by our own distribution system. Our core strength lies in our ability to develop, formulate and launch unique brands. The R&D team are in constant research in formulating newer products keeping the Customer taste in mind. Our in-house supply chain supported by Regional distributors ensures brands to be available at all outlets of the country.

Introducing a blended scotch whisky
For the first time in Uganda Blended Scotch Whisky was bottled in Uganda. This was made possible with the help of Angus Dundee Scotland. 9 Barrels & Old Glen are registered brands of Ours in UK. We take pride in bringing the best product from Scotland and bottling it under the supervision of trained technocrats from Scotland.
Expertise in blended whisky
With the expertise of our Blending team, we were able to Blend and bottle a whisky to cater to different segment of the population. The champion “Winger” Whisky is a Ugandan product following the BUBU policy. (Buy Uganda Build Uganda Policy)
Driven by State-of-art
The State-of-art filling and bottling facility established in 2018 to pack our brands at an enormous speed to cater to the rising demand in the market. The new KRONES machinery packs our brands in PET bottles, which has eased our supply chain to transport and distribute them countrywide
Premium brands of Gin and Vodka was introduced in glass bottles under the brand names “New Port Gin” and “Wild Deer Vodka”.
Sugarcane Farms
We have planted sugarcane over 5000 acres. The molasses from the sugarcane after crushing will feed us the necessary raw material to produce high quality spirit and also generate electricity. This way we ensure the quality of our products are consistent.
Approximately 45,000 liters are produced per day
We are proud to say we are a fully integrated company with the launch of our Distillery Unit in Hoima district with a capacity of producing 45,000 liters of ENA per day. The ENA becomes the base of our brands to further blend and pack it as finished products in our bottling plant. The ENA we produce has also been utilised in producing Hand Sanitizers in our subsidiary unit in Kampala. The Distillery Unit has allowed us to maintain high standards consistently in our brands and drastically reduced the timeline in the production of the brands. This way we could keep up our commitment to deliver in time.
Aseptic packs for Coffee Spirit and Simba Gin
Packaging innovation brought by our team made a great impact in the Spirit industry with the introduction of “Aseptic packing”. Coffee spirit & Simba Gin launched in Aseptic packs was very much welcomed by Our customers.

Our supplies meet the demands
To be a self-sustained company We incorporated our own Corrugation unit to give us the necessary packing boxes for the brands we market. We could ensure the demands are met with our supplies at a much faster pace. This gives us the ability to meet timelines given by the wholesalers and retailers.
Enjoy unique flavors of coffee spirit & Simba Gin
Our R & D team formulated a unique drink called “Coffee Spirit” launched in the year 2005. Till day Coffee spirit has grown leaps and bounds, making it the brand leader among the competitors. The Unique taste of Coffee spirit has an outstanding customer base throughout the country. The same year marked the launch of another brand called “Simba Gin” to cater to the diverse population of Uganda.
We offer quality alcoholic beverages
Uganda was going through a major industrial revolution in the year 2000 and particularly in alcohol industry single-track & multi-track sealing machines were introduced. The same year marked the dawn of Premier Distilleries Ltd with a vision to provide quality alcoholic beverages to the Ugandan market. With the help of High performing Auto Sealing machines we launched our first breakthrough brand “Knock out” which later became a big brand in Uganda.
